An action-packed new preview video (below), the cast of the opening and closing titles, and the Japanese television program have all been revealed. Rust eater Bisco (known as Sabikui Bisco in Japan), an upcoming TV anime based on the series of post-apocalyptic science fiction action light novels written by Shinji Cobkubo and illustrated by K Akagishi and Mokka about a wild young man who faces a rusty fate want to save.
The opening song entitled “Kaze no Oto sae Kikoenai” (“I can’t even hear the sound of the wind”) is sung by JUNNA. The final theme, entitled “Houkou” (“Howling”), is played in the role of Bisco Akaboshi (CV: Ryota Suzuki) and Milo Nekoyanagi (CV: Natsuki Hanae).
The original Rust eater Bisco Light novels are published in Japan by ASCII Media Works (a division of KADOKAWA) under the legal notice of Dengeki Bunko, and an English language version is also in development Yen presswho describe the story of the series as follows:
In the distant future, a disaster called “Rusty Wind” has turned most of Japan into a barren desert and left civilization in ruins. After his teacher falls victim to rust, the villainous Bisco Akahoshi embarks on a journey through the sandy deserts to obtain a fungus known only as a rust eater, which is said to cure the disease. Together with the dashing young doctor Milo, the two have to deal with the unforgiving environment and their fellow travelers in order to come back alive.
the Rust eater Bisco The TV anime is directed by Atsushi Ikariya and features animation production by OZ. The series is broadcast in Japan on the following TV program:
- TOKYO MX: every Monday during the 24:30 window from January 10, 2022.
- Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation: every Monday during the 25:59 time window starting January 10, 2022.
- BS11: every Monday during the 24:30 time window starting January 12, 2022.
Please note that some Japanese TV programs count the early morning program as the late program for the day before, so for example the time slot at 12:30 p.m. on Monday evening actually takes place on Tuesday morning at 12:30 p.m. JST.
