In particular, the initiative included a particularly narrow labeling window, which required a high level of accuracy in the labeling system. And given the urgency of the ongoing pandemic, the project was both accelerated and tailor-made: the product handling systems into which the applicators are integrated were designed and installed in a short period of time by Hanshin Labeling, Herma’s distributor in the Republic of Korea.
One of the particular challenges for the project was the length of the top label. At 300mm (almost 12 inches), the label has a dual mark / tamper evidence function that seals the front and back of the box lid. An applicator with exemplary precision and repeatability was required so that these long labels could be applied without creases or creases – and without misalignment.
Bioneer currently labels and seals 40 boxes per minute on each of the nine lines for a total output of over 350 kits per minute.
“With its high repetition rate, the Herma Basic is perfectly suited for this task,” says Hee Chul Lee, CEO at Hanshin Labeling. “The reason why we chose HERMA among all suppliers worldwide is the very high level of trust that we place in the company. He is extremely competent and the applicator’s performance is perfect for this application. “
The Herma Basic applicator was specially developed to economically meet the requirements of precision labeling in robust production environments. Its simple integration, uncomplicated operation and ease of maintenance are ideally suited to commissioning labeling lines in the shortest possible time and ensuring smooth operation during operation.
“Manufactured on the same production lines and according to the same strict quality standards as the Herma 500 high-performance applicators, the Herma basic is also characterized by its reliability and process reliability,” says Christoph Illichmann, Head of Sales at Herma Labeling Machines.
