ESPN will broadcast nine postseason impact major league baseball games nationwide through September 29

ESPN is the national home of pennant baseball races when the MLB regular season peaks. ESPN will televise nine games through September 29, including the season finale of Baseball on Sunday night in advance of the exclusive coverage of the American League Wild Card Game on ESPN.

Post-season impact games

ESPN has selected additional Postseason Impact Games to document the end of the regular season. The New York Yankees and Aaron Judge, currently half a game behind the Toronto Blue Jays, will face the Boston Red Sox and Xander Bogaerts in one on September 24th at 7pm ESPN MLB triple header. The Red Sox will be the first AL Wild Card Team from September 21st. Ravech, Perez and MLB national reporter Marly Rivera will comment on the game ESPN. Roxy Amber and Chris Singleton will describe the action on the ether ESPN radio.

Immediately afterwards at 10 p.m., the first Atlanta Braves and Freddie Freeman visit the San Diego Padres and Fernando Tatis Jr. Mike Monaco will name the game with Olympic gold medalist and analyst Jessica Mendoza. The game is subject to blackout restrictions in the Atlanta and San Diego markets. The padres return to ESPN in another postseason impact game on September 28th when they attend the Los Angeles Dodgers, the World Series Champion. Ravech, Mendoza and analyst Tim Kurkjian will be calling the full national television broadcast at 10pm

In addition to the impact games after the season, ESPN will broadcast two double titles on television on Wednesday evening. The Red Sox will host the New York Mets and Pete Alonso on September 22nd at 7pm Ravech and Perez on the call. This game will have lock restrictions in both the New York and Boston markets. Next, at 10 p.m., the Padres will receive the first-placed San Francisco Giants and Mike Yastrzemski. Play-by-play voice Melanie Newman will join ESPN call the broadcast together with the analyst Doug Glanville. The game is blacked out in the San Diego Market.

The St. Louis Cardinals and Paul Goldschmidt, currently runner-up in the NL Wild Card race, will be their rival Chicago Cubs at the start of the ESPN MLB triple header on September 24th at 4 p.m., with Kevin Connors and analyst Xavier Scruggs on the call. This game will experience power outages in both the St. Louis and Chicago markets.

New man and Mendoza will make history on September 29th at 10:00 p.m. when they become the first all-female broadcast team for a nationally televised MLB game and the first all-female broadcast team on ESPN during an MLB, NBA, or NFL regular season or playoff broadcast. ESPN will select the games for September 29th in the coming days.

Baseball on Sunday night Season finale

The season finale 2021 of Sunday Night Baseball Presented by Taco Bell will feature a potential AL wild card preview as the Red Sox host the Yankees in the exclusive national game of the week. Matt Vasgersian, World Series Champion and Analyst Alex Rodriguez and reporters Buster Olney calls the action at 7 p.m. ESPN.

Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown will go ahead Baseball on Sunday night at 6 p.m. with Ravech and Perez, plus additional contributions from senior MLB insiders Jeff Passan. Baseball on Sunday night gives up too ESPN radio, with Jon “Boog” Sciambi when calling with Singleton. Dave Jageler and Singleton also calls the game on Saturday ESPN radio.
