Noble Truth (right): Kingman’s listed son and out of a Frankel half-sister of Stacelita

The bloodlines of the two powerhouse stallions from Juddmonte united when Kingman stallion Noble Truth was just ahead of the game in the Flying Scotsman Stakes in Doncaster, which gave Frankel a significant success in the first runs as a broodmare.

Godolphin’s classic colt – which was picked up at Arqana’s Select Yearling Sale for 1.1 million euros – didn’t always look straight forward, but it showed his talent when he hit Hoo Ya Mal in the Listed event, a race his mother did in the 2010 clearly won, proved.

Bred by Jean-Pierre Dubois, Noble Truth is the first foal out of the not driven Speralita, a Frankel half-sister to the top-class Stacelita, a daughter of Monsun, who won five top-class competitions for Jean-Claude Rouget and Chad Brown, including the Prix de Diane, Prix Jean Romanet and Beverly D Stakes.

Stacelita has developed into an equally high-class broodmare who produced Frankel’s first top and classic winner in the Japanese champion Soul Stirring, winner of the Japanese Oaks and Hanshin Juvenile Fillies for Kazuo Fujisawa and Shadai Race Horse.

She also produced Schön Glanz, a grade 3 daughter of the great Deep Impact, and has a two year old full sister to Soul Stirring in training. Stacelita produced a Frankel colt this year and was then covered by Kingman.

Although Speralita didn’t make any races herself, she made a six-figure sum when she sold it to Oceanic Bloodstock for € 450,000 at the Arqana August Yearling Sale 2015. She returned to Kingman this year.

Speralita and Stacelita come from the award-winning Dashing Blade mare Soignee, who in turn is a half-sister of the German group 2 double scorer Simoun and the stakes winner Soudaine, dam of the Grand Prix de Deauville winner Savoir Vivre.

Frankel has made significant progress as a broodmare sire this year with five individual winners and two other stake performers in Juddmontes Group 3 Silver Flash Stakes Second Juncture and the Australian listed Wizard Of Oz.

Kingman had a fruitful start to his work with Frankel mares as he also fathered York Novice Stakes winner Tolstoy, who was out of a daughter of Matron Stakes winner Emulous.

Frankel’s daughters who have been sent to Kingman this year and in recent seasons include Lady Frankel, a Group 1 half-sister of Lope De Vega who gave birth to a filly in 2020; Fount, a Group 3 winner daughter of the classic American performer Ventura, who produced a colt this year; and Sun Maiden, a group winner and third in the British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes, mated to the son of Invincible Spirit this year.
